The Operations Assistant is responsible for managing the Email Operations Team under the direction of the Operations Manager, Development and Vice President, Operations. The Operations Assistant develops, implements, and troubleshoots deliverability strategies by analyzing trends with IP reputation, Sender Scores, and inbox deliverability. The Operations Assistant ensures the highest level of compliance within Email Operations and improves processes as needed. The Operations Assistant serves as a technical expert on compliance, authentication, and the mechanics of email delivery. The Operations Assistant facilitates communication and builds strategic relationships with major ISPs and vendors.

  • Manage daily operation of Email Operations Team
  • Participate in decisions made by Operations Manager, Development and executive leadership regarding list targeting, email scheduling, and template selection
  • Prepare and test email templates for distribution
  • Perform daily email campaign tests and approve for deployment
  • Coordinate with Creative Services to develop new email modules and templates
  • A/B test subject lines and email creatives to optimize the overall email program
  • Improve user engagement rates
  • Participate in the Quality Assurance & Optimization process for all email campaigns
  • Monitor and analyze IP reputation
  • Test and troubleshoot inbox deliverability
  • Gather, analyze and report key metrics on performance and deliverability
  • Analyze data segmentation and test alternate strategies
  • Maintain email compliance and implement best practices

  • Expert knowledge of email marketing and compliance laws
  • Drive and aptitude for learning
  • Proven statistical, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to recognize big picture and direct priorities to meet goals
  • Proven track record of managing email programs
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of email authentication and delivery
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Understanding of relational databases
  • Aptitude and desire for learning
  • Experience managing inbox deliverability for comprehensive email program required
  • 2+ years experience of team leadership
  • 5+ years experience in email marketing position
  • Experience working with major ESPs required
  • Relationships with major ISPs preferred
  • Technical certification or development background a plus
  • Bachelors degree required
