The Transaction Coordinator will work closely with the legal and production team to manage escrows and closing of contracts and any escalating issues in support of the company loan, acquisitions, dispositions, financing, leasing activity.

Order due diligence reports (Appraisals, Environmental Reports, Insurance, Background Checks etc). Create due diligence checklists from templates and update and archive as received and reviewed.

Manage workflow on a daily basis to ensure all items are moving in a timely manner.

Follow-up with consultants to make sure reports are delivered, manage minor issues and escalate problems.

Open title and escrow accounts for each transaction, as required, pursuant to instructions and transaction documents.

Complete Escrow and Title Forms, review with the team, and deliver all requested escrow and transaction documents, invoices, statements to escrow.

Actively manage closing checklists and timelines, reporting to Senior Staff to to make sure closings are moved forward.

Review all closing documents for completeness and prepare all finalized closing documents for signature.

Make sure all recordable documents are properly recorded.

Organize all finalized escrow/title documents and save to the system.

Communicate with accounting department regarding timing and where funding will need to occur.

Create new entities using checklists and working with third party vendors where necessary.

Work with Accounting department to create and manage bank account creation.

  • 3-5 years prior experience in Escrow, Title or related experience handling all phases of real estate closings and/or loan closing transactions involving real estate. Prefer experience to include all asset classes particularly commercial and retail properties.
  • This is a high service level environment where client support and a positive, collaborative attitude is key.
  • Track record of experience demonstrating positive independent judgement and the ability to differentiate when an issue needs escalating to other team members.
  • Ability to anticipate to see a transaction through from beginning to completion, predicting, surfacing and resolving problems proactively.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient in Outlook, MS Office and other business software
  • Intermediate-Excel Skills.
  • Education:
  • Bachelor Degree: Business, finance, real estate or related degree
