SQL Data Architect Banking #3

The salary is up to $100,000 with a bonus and some relocation assistance. US Citizenship or a Green Card is required.

Overview and Responsibilities:

Primarily responsible for overall data environment to include management of TDM and Day 0 solution, partnership with EIM, and data governance.

· Primary Interface with EIM for enhancements, changes and Prioritization

· Responsible for the implementation and support of Day 0, Day 1 and Day 2 solutions

· Responsible for the migration and ongoing support of TDM

· Responsible for data integrity, data quality, security, privacy, architecture and governance (GL reconciled)

· Responsible for quarterly FICO updates

Strategic Intent:

This role will manage the portfolio of data used for reporting, compliance, risk, finance, analytics and targeting and will have accountability for the following activities:

· Primary liaison with Enterprise Information Management, to drive prioritization in data enhancements (with input from key business stakeholders), communicate and follow up on identified data issues and gaps, and with EIM develop data strategy roadmap judiciously bearing in mind necessity and costs.

· Lead/responsible for building, maintaining, enhancing and governing the TDM system and supplementing EDW with the necessary data to support an Enterprise Wide data infrastructure.

· Implement data integrity, control and reconciliation processes for consistency with reporting across Risk, Finance and Head Office.

· Design householding methodology used for Bank clients in order to reflect connection with Canadian Banking and US Wealth Management relationships

· Primary liaison with Canadian Banking and US Wealth Management data groups, to ensure view of Bank clients is consistent with views of other usinesses.

· Leads virtual team in building, maintaining, enhancing and governing Bank’s customer data infrastructure required to report and analyze client behavior, profitability and demographics.

· Support Team of professionals who use SAS EG, base SAS, and other tools appropriate for relational database architecture, security, performance, development and maintenance.

· Instituting Governance processes and protocols around client data, with a focus on privacy and security.

· Coordinates closely with other analytical and reporting areas in the Bank, to develop an integrated enterprise-wide insight agenda and programs.

· Proactive, innovative and creative in meeting partner and enterprise needs.

· Monitor performance indicators and lead continuous improvement.

· The impact of this role will be to develop and maintain the control environment for the Bank, ensuring the data is available and accessible to key stakeholders / users for regulatory reporting, compliance, risk, finance, and client relationship management.

Qualifications:

· 10-15 years experience with retail customer analytics, banking product analytics and profitability analytics

· Expert knowledge of Bank customer data currently housed in the transaction data mart

(NORM – SAS DATABASE and TDM – SQL SERVER DATABASE)

· Ability to collaborate with others, work independently, initiate action, adapt to change, make difficult decisions and accept challenging assignments.

· Ability to lead cross functional virtual teams

· Business partner management and customer service orientation

· Excellent organizational skills, written and verbal communications skills

Required:

· BA/BS in Finance, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, or related field required.· Advanced SAS and/or SQL skills.
