Senior Accountant

This position is a senior-level role in which critical thinking and communication skills will be needed to apply accounting theory and knowledge to numerous areas of the Questex accounting department. Responsibilities include preparation monthly financial statement package in compliance with GAAP requirements. A successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism; follow procedures, guidelines and internal controls.


    • Assist with the year-end audit
    • Manage all tax reporting and responsibilities
    • Translate and consolidate foreign entities trial balances
    • Prepare financial statements for our foreign entities in foreign currencies
    • Consolidation of financial statements from multiple entities
    • Prepare miscellaneous journal entries, supporting schedules and other analysis as part of the monthly reporting package
    • Assist in the month end reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts
    • Ensure compliance with revenue recognition
    • Work to streamline, automate, and continuously improve processes and internal controls to build sustainable financial systems
    • Develop and improve accounting policies and procedures
    • Ad hoc projects
    • Other functions, duties or tasks as assigned


  • BS Degree in Accounting
  • 2 years experience in public accounting
  • Background in drafting financial statements
  • Familiarity with foreign entity translation
  • Experience with Intacct accounting system a plus
  • Advance skills in Excel
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to participate as a team member and perform job duties independently
  • Practice efficient time management
  • Demonstrate problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Exercise sound judgment in handling confidential information and follow ethical standards
  • Seek efficiencies and improvements for existing processes
  • Communicate effectively and write clearly
  • Able to convey financial concepts/implications to non-accountants
  • Respond promptly to customer, vendor and internal requests
  • Demonstrate adaptability and attention to detail
