Exciting opportunity to join a dynamic sales team with the leading hosted buyer events in the Hospitality/Meetings industry. Events are focus on the global meetings & incentive industry.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

o Sell participation and sponsorships opportunities to industry suppliers within assigned shows and territory

o Maintains and utilizes Salesforce database for all client contact and scheduling.

o Performs research on the marketplace, developing lists of new prospects

o Identifies and/or maximizes the sales opportunity for assigned event in assigned tier of customer categories

o Creates proposals to create higher value packaged opportunities.

o Attends and finds new clients at competitive events.

o Generates direct sales from cold calling, follow up calling, and face-to-face meetings.

o Prepares summary activity reports from competitive events.

o Performs other duties as assigned by Event Director

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

o College degree, prefer more than 2 years sales experience. Event sales experience a plus but not necessary. B2B sales experience. Ideally, experience in the MICE market or meetings/travel/hospitality marketplace.

o Understands issues relevant to the travel market and industry from a B2B position.

o Listens to and understands internal/external customers and supplier expectations, needs and wants.

o Highly motivated, self-starter with the proven ability to close deals over the phone and in face-to-face sales calls

o Must possess strong computer and presentation skills and a strong history of teamwork and cooperation

o 30% travel

o Must possess excellent communication skills, professional writing skills and computer skills

o Spanish and English fluency preferred as there is an international base of clientele.
