Prostate Cancer Foundation Community and Social Media Manager
Founded in 1993, PCF is the undisputed philanthropic worldwide leader in funding prostate cancer research and is the leading global authority on the current state and real time evolution of advancements in prostate cancer care for the 4 million patients in the US and the 21 million patients globally. PCF research has saved hundreds of thousands of lives and we are funding research today, which could end prostate cancer. PCF reaches millions of patients and delivers vital medical information pertaining to each individual patient's specific situation in real time. We have insight into treatments as they are being developed; we have access to the world’s leading cancer scientists who are advancing research globally. We are in need of a world leading marketing executive to evangelize the foundation and to build the channels we will need in the future to better communicate with our constituents and to raise money for future research.
Develop and implement a social media-marketing plan with the following components:
Generate, edit, publishes and share daily content (original text, images, video and HTML) that encourages stakeholders to take action.
Actively promote PCF brand and reputation development
Identify and engage target stakeholders – patients, researchers, physicians, thought leaders, donors, etc.
Realtime engagement with community members
Set clear, measurable objectives including brand strength, brand awareness, reputation, conversion metrics, audience growth, audience engagement, ROI
Create, curate and place engaging visual design elements including photography, video, info-graphics
Create compelling social media content to reach and effectively engage target stakeholders
Conduct stakeholder research to develop stakeholder engagement strategy
Monitor, listen and proactively respond to stakeholders via engaging social platforms
Create social media editorial calendars and syndication schedules
Become leading PCF advocate in social media spaces with engaging dialogues
Develop and manage effective social media benchmarks (best practices) for measuring the impact of social media campaigns.
Represent the foundation to people who are in crisis and help them with their journey.
Understand the basics of prostate cancer care and how to guide people to seek out the best care from their medical providers.
Possess knowledge and experience with traditional communications and marketing.
Demonstrates deep social medial knowledge and impactful/successful social media campaign development and execution experience
Possesses a PCF mission oriented curiosity and drive
Skilled at both the analytical and creative aspects of marketing, communications and social media
Displays in-depth working knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instragram, YouTube, Pinterest, blogs, etc.) and their respective communities, strengths and optimal deployment strategies.
Maintains a working knowledge of SEO, SEM, CRO, PPC, Google Analytics – highly knowledgeable in principles of “search” and “social.”
Highly collaborative with PCF internal and external stakeholders
BS/MA in Communications, Marketing, New Media, Public Relations
