Perform the daily welding, metal fabrication and exhibit setup needs.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Training/certification in Welding technology
Physically able to be on feet 6-8hrs per day and lift at least 50lbs.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
CNC plasma knowledge and forklift experience preferred
Basic knowledge of necessary technology (email, phone, Microsoft office, etc.,)
Strong planning and organizational skills
Critical thinking and problem solving
Willingness to learn and grow
Self motivated, patient and responsible
Basic hand tool knowledge, including but not limited to; Jig saw, drills, air rivet gun, grinders, hand sanders, slip rollers and benders.
Basic knowledge of materials and gasses
Perform necessary machine maintenance
Responsibilities and Duties
Operate fab shop and machine shop machinery and equipment
Use of Miller Tig, Lincoln Power Mig, miller plasma cutter, table saw
Using steel and aluminum chop saw 12’’ with knowledge of materials
Assist in delivery or pick up of metal related materials locally
Follow all safety protocols
Assist the warehouse with daily needs (exhibit setup, exhibit teardown, general cleaning and organization, inventory, inspections)
Facilitate any maintenance needs with regards to the metal department
Compensation and Hours
This is an 8 hour shift, Monday-Friday with occasional overtime expected. This role has a starting hourly rate of $22.50
