Print Production Manager

Reports To

Director of Operations

Job Overview

Responsible for daily operations of the print department and all external graphic related assets.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Attend formal project meetings, obtain a clear understanding of all graphic deliverables and timelines

  • Manage daily activities of direct-report employees

  • Communicate artwork asset needs with the account teams and clients directly

  • Coordinate graphic installations with account teams

  • Order any necessary materials or equipment for department

  • Produce graphic templates to be sent to clients for artwork layout

  • Place orders to external vendors: IE. hanging signs, banner stands, pop-up displays

  • Pre-flight client-provided artwork for print production, provide proofs for client approval

  • Print and finish client-approved graphic assets

  • Color correct printed assets and match designated PMS colors (when applicable)

  • Output art files for CNC routing

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in print production

  • 1-2 years experience in management of individuals

  • Strong familiarity with graphic software, methodologies, and best practices. This will include: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Onyx Poster Shop

  • Experience in large format printing, plotting and lamination

  • Experience in large format installation and finishing

  • Preferred knowledge and skills.

    • Self-management skills

    • Proven critical thinking and ability to solve problems creatively.

    • Strong planning and organizational skills.

    • Ability to communicate ideas and needs clearly and succinctly to internal team members.

    • Excellent client-facing communication

Additional Notes

  • Does not include artwork design and layout. This will be handled by the internal creative team.
