A fast-growing international distribution company in San Clemente is searching for a Social Media Marketing Coordinator to attract and interact with targeted virtual communities and networks users. The goal is to achieve superior customer engagement and website traffic by strategically exploiting all aspects of the social media marketing roadmap. The responsibilities will be to support the company’s existing social media strategy (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & Pinterest). This will encompass locating interesting content to share on our social media channels, interacting and engaging with followers and brainstorming social campaign ideas to increase social reach.

Established over 20 years ago, this is a family-owned company with a unique team culture…and is a leader in its field. The Social Media Specialist will work with the organization’s management and their marketing department. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership skills, able to handle a variety of projects at one time and be self-driven. The hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30AM to 5PM. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity and the pay is based on experience. Once hired, full employee benefits are available.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
  • Execute existing brand's marketing and new product creative marketing
  • Direct and manage the creation of social media marketing campaigns and blogs
  • Create and manage web content and media for new product launch
  • Provide technical support to users, liaises with the web hosting company, and increases traffic to the websites via social media marketing platforms
  • Identify social media and new marketing opportunities
  • Research and implement creative new strategies for expanding social media reach and grow the company’s following
  • Continuously update Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Google+, and Pinterest accounts
  • Collaborate with team members on proactive media outreach
  • Generate, edit and publish daily content
  • Ongoing outreach to increase customer engagement and drive traffic
  • Maintaining open communication with team lead regarding daily tasks and progress


  • Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a digital media specialist (minimum one year)
  • BA Degree in Communications, Marketing, New Media or related field is a plus
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Word & Excel
  • Excellent consulting, writing, editing, presentation and communication skills
  • Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
  • Adequate knowledge of web design, web development, CRO and SEO
  • Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels
  • Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability
  • Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative data collection
  • Able to work independently, as well as work in team with web developer & marketing department
  • Technical support and troubleshooting skills a plus
