Rocket Video is PRØHBTD’s owned & operated video-on-demand business that caters to mainstream brands and agencies looking for on demand video production services. We help companies who need help in shooting video for their indoor / outdoor events, livestreams, commercials etc.

The Role:

Director, Brand Partnerships - Video

PRØHBTD / Rocket are hiring a video sales specialist to lead our efforts in the video production on-demand space. You will be responsible for the monetization of our on-demand video production teams for live event coverage, commercial work, branded content and post production. This is a hands-on role and an opportunity to be the in-house expert and scale a new line of business working with cannabis AND mainstream brands through agencies, live event promoters and direct-to-brand programs. The role reports directly to the Head of Brand Partnerships and requires inter-departmental collaboration with the Brand Development, Content and Marketing departments. The position is based in Los Angeles, CA.

The Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive video on demand go-to-market plan to secure new business directly from brands, agencies and live event companies.

  • Work cross-functionally across content, marketing and brand development departments

  • Partner closely with the content, brand partnerships and marketing teams to identify performance trends, content insights, audience development and other KPIs

  • Partner with marketing to develop materials for our video products and communicate the value proposition internally and externally

  • Partner with the leaders on the content and brand partnerships teams to develop industry-specific sales strategies and solution orientated offerings

  • Promote adoption of our offering across the sales team to support the growth through internal referrals

  • Collaborate on our RFP response strategy and spearhead the creation of proposal presentations with sales where video on demand is a focus

  • Develop brand recaps that incorporate performance and recommendations for optimizing the process for scale and greater revenue opportunities

  • Attend industry functions such as conferences, to network and evangelize. Be an external ambassador for PRØHBTD / Rocket.

  • Work closely with brands and internal stakeholders to ensure customer growth, renewal, satisfaction and retention

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Demonstrated self starter with a track record selling solutions to marketers, agencies and/ or live event companies that include video. Ideally 5+ years experience

  • Domain expertise and relationships in digital media, content, advertising, video, media sales and agency relations (both creative and media). PR, marketing, experiential etc.

  • Proven track record of prospecting and closing material business in the video production category

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

  • Experienced speaker/presenter, effective and engaging with large and small audiences, up to and including VP & C level executives

  • Team player. Ability to work hard with multiple teams and stakeholders to get a project signed and delivered

  • Effective in a start-up culture (i.e. ability to deal with ambiguity) as well as a more mature/matrixed organization

  • Must be well organized, detail-oriented, possess excellent follow up skills, and work well in a fast-changing work environment

  • A leader who embodies the traits of a subject matter expert, clear thinker, externally focused, inclusive, creative and accountable.

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline, MBA a plus

  • A willingness to travel
