We have an outstanding career opportunity and an immediate need for a Professional Services Analyst in our Long Beach, NY office.

Position Summary:

Professional Services Analyst (PSA) will work closely with clients and potential clients to generate the analysis and design of business systems based on business requirements; initiate and manage specific projects/deliverables for process, product or service improvements; and coordinate testing the necessary group(s) and the client. The analyst will also assist with client training when needed.

Travel could be up to 50% (though rarely for extended periods) and some of it is likely to be international.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• The PSA will work with various functional areas of the company: Development, Project Management, Finance, Marketing, Legal, IT, and Operations for expertise as needed and these groups will also seek assistance from the PSA.

• Analyze, organize, document and manage the impact of new or enhanced products and services and define solutions to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction

• Provide Internal/External training on products and services.

• Will primarily be responsible for the development of the Business Requirements, and Functional Requirements.

• Liaison with client PM for UAT phase of implementations, ensuring test plans are adequate and, where necessary, the appropriate resources are reviewing and signing off on UAT.

• Work directly with functional groups during “post-implementation” phase to ensure all systems and products are working and processing as planned/designed.

• Other duties as assigned



Desired Skills/Experience:

• Must have a minimum of 5 years in a payments environment within a bank card Acquiring environment.

• Must have a strong knowledge of credit card processing environments.

• Must have working knowledge of Card Association compliance, regulations and release documentation.

• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills in a high-volume environment

• Technical knowledge in the areas of communication message formats (e.g. ISO 8583) and network communications are desirable

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to be self-motivated to establish priorities, be results oriented, and work independently

• Must be PC/Windows literate; knowledge of the Internet; knowledge of Microsoft Applications needed. Must be able to learn new and customized programs

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training and/or work experience.

Five years of related experience.

Must demonstrate the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and governmental regulations.

Must demonstrate the ability to prepare basic reports and business correspondence.

Have the ability to understand and interpret instructions is an essential skill.

Have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, managers, clients and co-workers will also be required.
