PGR is seeking a junior finance counsel with at least one year transactional, real estate, and/or commercial loan processing experience to join its in-house legal team.
This individual will work with the legal team and alongside the [VP/Director] of Project Finance and other members of the company’s finance team to facilitate project finance closings.
Manage financial closing process including review and administration of closing checklist, responding to due diligence questions from financial counterparties, managing outside counsel and other third-party vendors assisting with financing
Compile project data for debt and equity investor underwriting.
Monitor status of project funding and post-funding conditions.
Ad-hoc projects as directed by the [VP/Director] of Finance.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills that demonstrate strong analytical, critical thinking, attention to detail and problem resolution skills.
Knowledge of principles, practices, laws, and regulations governing project finance transactions.
Minimum of one year experience as a licensed attorney in a transactional setting
Experience with financing of solar energy projects is preferred but not required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and Adobe Acrobat
License to practice law is in good standing (North Carolina is preferred but not required)
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMAND:
May require lifting/carrying items up to 30 pounds.
Travel up to 25%.
Position works in an office environment.
Must be able to sit/stand at a desk and utilize a computer, for extended periods of time.
