POSITION SUMMARY:

Pine Gate Renewables, LLC has an exciting opportunity for a collaborative, highly-energetic and results-driven professional to join our team! As a contributor within a fast-paced environment, this hands-on position requires attention to detail, superior communication skills, and the ability to work within a cross-functional team of professionals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an entrepreneurial passion for renewable energy development and a desire to work with clients to get solar done.

The Construction Project Manager will manage the construction, engineering, procurement and have full oversight of all activities required to develop, license/permit, start-up, and commence utility solar projects.

This individual will become an integral part of the PGR Engineering, Procurement and Construction Team as well as support the PGR Development, Origination and Operations and Maintenance processes.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Oversee solar energy projects from initial notice to proceed through final acceptance by client.
  • Manage all aspects of the project schedule as it relates to permitting, material purchase and delivery, and the construction process.
  • Collaborate with different departments to determine project priorities and work plans
  • Assist with project engineering plan design review, evaluation and implementation
  • Establishing corrective action/design alternatives
  • Manages departmental resources to provide early-stage project development support
  • Coordinate procurement of materials and services as needed in a timely manner
  • Lead team through the execution phase of the project by hosting regular team meetings, ensure design, procurement, inspections, site visits and other aspects of project execution are being conducted on time to ensure proper project close out
  • Manages scope of work development and project budgeting
  • Verifies construct-ability, resource allocations, assesses field status and resolves issues as needed
  • Responsible for walk down of planned work, validates acceptance of completed work to design requirements, approves contractor payment request
  • Stake holder communications to include client/owner management
  • Establishing performance requirements, project scheduling and schedule management
  • Supervises and/or coordinates activities such as safety programs, engineering, construction, budget, analysis and contract administration
  • Change, risk management and quality management
  • Project business and accounting functions with ultimate responsibility for all aspects of the project throughout the duration of the life cycle.
  • Manage logistics and communications as required with customer, local government and utility
  • Participate in the review of contract documents for client projects including the creation of a requirements document, deliverables list, and other project management related items
  • Conduct construction progress inspections at sites before, during and after active construction for quality control and progress reporting
  • Ability to review and understand multi-trade construction drawings and specifications, as well as construction best practices across and array of trades, including surveying, civil, structural, thermal and moisture protection, and electrical construction.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMAND:

  • May require lifting/carrying items up to 30 pounds.
  • Travel up to 25%.
  • Position works in an office environment.
  • Must be able to sit/stand at a desk and utilize a computer, for extended periods of time.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ Years of Experience with solar or energy related projects
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving ability
  • Strong commercial and leadership skill
  • Possess integrity and commitment to compliance
  • Strong project management skills including budget adherence and cost control measures
  • Commitment to project success
  • Up to 25% travel required
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering
