The Transportation and Logistics Manager’s primary duties include supervising and coordinating all operations related to the transportation of General Equipment and Inventory to various clients throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. This position reports directly to the VP of Operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Manages general equipment delivery staff including Dispatchers, Drivers Supervisors, and Helpers

· Conducts annual performance reviews and provides leadership for the delivery staff

· Conducts regular department meetings to improve communication to our delivery team

· Oversees fleet safety plan including all State and Federal compliance guidelines

· Coordinates all additional vehicle needs beyond the Company fleet and makes seasonal recommendations for purchase or lease

· Maintains adequate delivery equipment (straps, dollies, carts, etc.) for safe and efficient delivery

· Monitors and documents all delivery failures and identifies root causes to avoid preventable mistakes

· Monitors fleet during operations to eliminate wasted time

· Performs periodic inspections to reinforce all Company guidelines

· Coordinates with sales team any unexpected delivery labor

· Oversees key projects, processes and performance reports, data, and analysis

· Supports and implements all organizational policies and procedures

· Provides support to all other company team members, as needed

· Performs other duties, as needed

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

· 3-5 years of management experience in logistics, warehousing, or related industry

· Knowledge of inventory control and management principles

· Knowledge of Fleet safety and DOT Compliance

· Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills

· Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills

· Excellent organizational and project management skills

· Ability to manage and direct diverse staff

· Ability to multi-task and manage workload imbalance

· Ability to work independently as well as in groups

· Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, and manage risk

COMPENSATION

· Annual Salary of $75k - $85k dependent upon experience
