Production Control Analyst
Portland, TN
$35K to $45K plus bonus

Job Description:
This position supports 100% on-time customer shipments. Work with ERP systems, Kanban and other materials management tools to ensure that production is planned, parts ordered, incoming shipments are processed according to current procedure ad inventory is manage effectively work with logistics partners and other company departments ensure correct production levels and efficient flow of parts into and out of the system.
· Direct coordination of purchased parts to include: PO Req., creation, distribution, order releasing process and supplier rating process
· Monitoring of customer supplied component parts
· Monitor daily supplier performance to insure compliance, initiate supplier NCMR where applicable
· Administer monthly supplier score cards to procedure
· Freight monitoring relating to purchased parts
· MRP/ERP/VSM monitoring and maintenance
· Department PO Requisition entry (create PO, seek approvals, balance department checkbook
· Maintain inner department KPI “no PO” incidents
· Track purchase part emergency handling incidents and seek resolution
· Assist in program Balance Out activities
· Verification of incoming purchased parts shipments
· Scheduling of assembly lines utilizing the firm label process
· Maintain Onsite Inventory levels to plan through scheduling of UP Assy Lines
· Plan daily required number of trucks to supplier Onsite Assy plan

· Ensure accurate orders and schedules are transmitted in a timely manner
· Work with Accounting, Cycle Counters, Manufacturing and Management to ensure accuracy of inventory records in the ERP/Accounting system
· Follow up on production schedules issued to Manufacturing to ensure compliance with work schedule

· Minimize incoming freight costs by maximizing trailer space while supporting inventory requirements
· Minimize onsite freight cost through effective planning
· Coordinate inventory levels to be maintained to department requirements
· Provide ideas for Kaizen related to vendors, material handling and packaging

· Cross train to be proficient in all analyst roles in Production Control Department
· Rotate among different analyst roles as assigned
· Work overtime as needed on inventory weekends including Saturday and Sunday
· Maintain a working knowledge of material flow throughout the entire process to include: Ordering, logistics, receiving, stock locations, point of use, manufacturing rates, lead-times, reorder points, safety stock, Min/Max levels

Language Skills:
· Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and through multiple media (email presentation).

Mathematical Skills:
· Fluent use of ratios, percentages, determining Min/Max Inventory levels based on given parameter, solving for unknown factors
· Knowledge of Production Control, Material Management and ERP/MRP systems
· Ability to use Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word, Lotus Notes effectively and efficiently
· Ability to use and update spreadsheets and charts
· Testing will be done on Microsoft Word and Excel (passing score of 80%)

Reasoning Ability:
· Analytical abilities to perform responsibilities satisfactorily
· Excellent organizational skills
· Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
· Self motivated – ability to work with minimal supervision

· High School Diploma
· 3 Years shipping & receiving experience
· Good communication skills
· Prior supervisory or lead experience
· Basic computer skills
· A strong Logistics background and excellent organizational & Interpersonal skills
