The Training and Development Specialist‘s primary duties include supporting the Human Resources Department by designing and conducting training programs that will boost employee workplace performance and improving the productivity of PEAK’s employees. A key component for the position will be to have an open and friendly attitude while tackling daily tasks and projects and also interacting with employees. This position reports directly to the Senior Human Resources Manager. This position is located in Woburn, MA, with frequent travel to Stoughton, MA, Canton, MA and the Company’s various other locations all through New England (as needed).


· Identify training and development needs by evaluating departmental strengths and weaknesses

· Translate job requirements into trainings that will prepare employees for their role at PEAK

· Partner with Departmental Manager to assess training needs and to develop Department-specific trainings

· Train Management and supervisors on basic training skills

· Conduct orientations for new hires

· Assist with the developmental onboarding and progression of new hires

· Develop and monitor spending against the departmental budget

· Assist the Head of Human Resources in developing year-round training and development plans and budgets

· Build annual training program and prepare teaching plans

· Develop or oversee the production of effective training materials, such as learning handouts, instructional materials, aids and manuals

· Conduct follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results

· Periodically evaluate ongoing programs and modify programs as needed

· Stay informed of the new trends and tools in employee development

· Partner with the Executive Team to create successions plans and to monitor and update those plans over time

· Assist in creating organizational development plans for each level of the organization

· Cultivate a workplace environment that is beneficial to employee morale

· Create development plans for employees

· Complete special projects

· Other duties as assigned


· Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Training, HR or related field

· 5+ years of training experience

· Proven experience in designing multiple training events in a corporate setting

· Proven ability to master the full training cycle

· Ability to conduct cost-benefit analysis and calculate training ROI

· Adequate knowledge of learning management software

· Proficient in Microsoft Office

· Excellent communication skills

· Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences


· $60,000 - $70,000 annually
