Clinical Field Specialist-Houston or Dallas #2

Can live in Houston or Dallas
The Clinical Field Specialist is responsible for training, case coverage, customer education, and clinical and sales support. The position works within a defined region and in support of national activities for the Companies products. This position reports to the Professional Education Leader.
Principal responsibilities:
· Conducts local, regional, and national training forums; in-service programs; and symposia for surgeons, nurses, and other appropriate personnel to ensure they understand products, their approved indications, and guidelines for use and adoption
· Represents Company in case coverage to provide clinical/technical support and troubleshooting as needed
· Provides routine feedback to sales and other personnel on case coverage activity, outcomes, and follow-up requirements
· Assists Field Sales management in training new team members as requested, including 1:1 sessions, orientation to case coverage, procedural techniques, information about competitive products, and customer introductions
· Understands national, regional, and local sales objectives and works in partnership with Sales, Marketing, and Clinical to reach these goals
· Supports educational and promotional activities at key meetings, conventions, and events
· Promotes the safe and effective use of products and procedures
· Maintains adherence to all company and OIG compliance guidelines
Position qualifications:
· BA/BS degree in life sciences, nursing, or technical discipline with a minimum of three to five years’ work experience in hospital/clinic sales in spinal surgery field
· Proven track record with clinical/technical training assignments in spine surgery
· Ability to work with multiple customer segments (e.g., surgeons, nurses, surgical services managers, alternative surgery centers, product approval committees) in providing education and clinical support resulting in the expansion of appropriate use of spinal devices
· Demonstrated initiation, development, and continuation of key customer relationships
· Documented success in a direct sales position in surgical medical devices
· Proven ability to translate customer input into well-defined requirements, with specific description of +/- business impact
· Strong written, public speaking, and presentation skills are required
· Product launch experience preferred
· Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
