Animal keeper to care for a diverse collection of ungulates and interact with the public as a tour guide. Experience with large hoofstock and rhinos is preferred. Full Time, schedules include weekdays, weekends, and holidays as assigned. Responsibilities include exotic animal care & husbandry, habitat maintenance, operant conditioning, enrichment, diet prep, daily upkeep of animal logs, assistance w/veterinary procedures and conduct educational and entertaining safari tours among free-roaming animals in our natural Serengeti habitat.Starting pay $14.50 per hour plus keep all tips made from daily tours.
Applicant must have good observation and communication skills, work harmoniously with fellow staff and supervisors, able to work independently, have an outgoing, positive personality. Background in large animal husbandry and public speaking preferred. Must be able to lift 75 pounds. Drug test required upon employment. Out of Africa is an equal opportunity employer.
About OUT OF AFRICA WILDLIFE PARK LL:
We are a wildlife park in central Arizona with hundreds of animals. We have about 100,000 guests per year and just under 50 employees. Hours and days need to be flexible.
