What does a Technical Consultant at ORTEC do?
You will play an important part in implementing solutions for our customers and are the essential link between the ORTEC product experts, ORTEC/customer project team, and customer IT.
Your tasks will include:
■ Analyze and understand customer requirements for Supply Chain Planning & Optimization
■ Solve problems, propose technical solutions to meet customer needs
■ Configure technical solution, using SQL, XML / XSL, MS Reporting Services and other tools
■ Ensures transparency of the project status and communicates with all the stakeholders (Project Manager, customers, team members)
■ Technical aspects at the start of a new project (such as hardware sizing)
■ Installation and configuration of the applications
■ Run performance analysis
■ Perform query tuning (T-SQL)
■ Automation of processes (PowerShell)
■ Cover Interfacing / Integration (XML, XSL, Rest API, Python) aspects
■ Cover security aspects within a project.
■ Cover authentication (SSO, Multi-factor authentication, Auth0) within a project
You will be based in the Atlanta office with possible travel to customer sites.
This role might fit you if:
You have an educational and professional background that includes a degree in a field related to Industrial Engineering, Business/Management Information systems, Operations Research or (Applied) Mathematics or Information Technology.
■ Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship (H1B sponsorship is not available for this position)
■ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a technical background
■ 2-5 years of experience
■ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
■ Good general IT knowledge
■ Detail-oriented, with an analytical approach
■ Prior experience with business software is preferred
■ Experience in at least some of the following: programming languages, SQL, XML/XSL, scripting, cloud solutions.
■ General understanding of supply chain & logistics
