OCE has a permanent full time opening for a Garment & Embroidery Production Coordinator working at Eastern Oregon Correctional Institution (EOCI) in Pendleton, Oregon. The ideal candidate would possess a balance of production experience coupled with supervisory, positive role modeling, coaching, and training skills to work effectively in a correctional environment.

Applicants must successfully pass a Law Enforcement Data System (LEDS) criminal and civil court background checks, pre-employment drug screening, and successfully complete a twelve month probationary period. An annual criminal background review is a condition of employment. This position is represented by the Association of Oregon Corrections Employees (AOCE) union. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
This full-time position provides supervision of inmate workers working in the EOCI Garment/Embroidery Shop and ensures the production of quality finished goods and services within a safe and secure working environment. Work hours will vary based on the needs of the business.
This position requires the skill and ability to interpret and understand oral and written instructions, to relate and communicate with staff and inmates, and be knowledgeable of computers and software as they apply to the garment/embroidery product design and production. We are seeking applicants with experience in garment/embroidery manufacturing and skill in:

This standard requires OCE to conduct background checks on all applicants considered for employment or promotion to consider any incidents of substantiated allegations of sexual abuse or sexual harassment in determining whether to hire or promote anyone who may have contact with inmates.
