The QA Engineer is primarily responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining the Microsoft SQL Server procedural codes, reports, and ETL packages for both new and existing subsystems.
Duties:
  • Able to test in fast-paced environment with both long and short development cycles.
  • Able to perform both white and black box testing.
  • QA backend and frontend website features, load/performance or automation testing.
  • Able to work with designer/producer/engineer to define the feature set, and testing risks.
  • Develop the technical competency of QA.
  • Ensures appropriate coverage of application functionality in the various test plans and test cases.
  • Ensure standards and processes are followed and met.
  • Writes functional test plans/scripts to ensure proper design functionality in accordance with test plan objective.
  • Responsible for test execution and reporting.
  • Ensures test results and metrics are collected and reported.
Skills/Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of QA experience on ecommerce or web portals.
  • Working knowledge of at least 2 of the following test tools/language preferred: Microsoft testing tools (Stress test tool, MACT), Visual studio Team system, Omniture, HTML unit, C#, Firebug.
  • Experience with multiple web browsers, Bug tracker Database, Source Control software.
  • Knowledge and experience with various scripting languages.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Web site troubleshooting skills
  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential.
  • Experience in HTML/CSS is a plus.
  • Experience in setting up QA Environment is a big plus
  • Candidates with Experience in Microsoft (or open source such as selenium/JMeter/Gomez) Web technology Based QA experience preferred.
