We are a fast paced, multi-state, growing Mortgage Company, headquartered in Tempe, AZ, seeking a highly motivated, positive and ambitious Web/Software Development Manager! The primary daily focus of this manager will be on executing the plans established through our product definition meetings and vetting new vendors and technologies to meet those requirements. This keyrole covers a wide range of technologies and responsibilities. The development manager oversees the SCRUM lifecycle as a SCRUM manager as well as the direct manager to the development team. They are responsible for working closely with the VP of Technology, business stakeholders and senior management team to collaborate on the requirements and execution of web-based development projects. The development manager will also contribute a minority-share (estimated 25%) of their time to the software development backlog.

Lead daily stand-up meetings and other SCRUM ceremonies as SCRUM master
Review time-off requests and work with the team on scheduling
Ensure On Q best-practice architecture is being implemented
Ensure projects are executed to the project plan from a technical perspective
Manage project delays with relevant parties
Research new technologies and vendors in collaboration with the product ownership team
Generate test cases and project documentation
Lead meetings with stakeholders where appropriate
Manage an ongoing feature and bug backlog for a portfolio of web-based development projects
Collaborate closely with peers and business partners to document processes and requirements and to ensure adequate analysis and planning
Communicate proactively with peers to manage expectations and support flexible business planning
Make recommendations to Leadership regarding best practices and opportunities
Train and mentor team members
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Bachelor’s degree in related field or relevant experience
Developer I or II level experience in modern front and back-end development
A deep understanding of SCRUM for software development
Experience generating development team documentation
Experience generating test cases for a development team or test engineers
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Technical / Project Management experience
LoopBack 3 or 4
Department Supervisory experience preferred
