Our Personal Bankers are our Member's best friend. Our Personal Bankers are there to assist our members with all of their loan and deposit needs, through greeting members as they walk through the credit union door and sourcing prospective and existing members to determine Consumer and/or Business loan and deposit needs. The Personal Banker is their financial liaison and acts as the main point of contact for members through the loan process, from application to closing; always achieving their loan volume and deposit goals through current member and self-generated leads.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Generate Consumer & Commercial Loan applications – prospect for new business by contacting potential members in person and on the phone to determine needs. Solicit business based on best solution for the member. Complete and enter the loan application and work with underwriting through final approval. Meet or exceed all established sales goals.
Follow-up on existing applications in pipeline – Work with internal partners, such as underwriting, loan servicing, etc. to move loan applications to closing. Efficiently and accurately answer all member inquiries during the loan application process.
Servicing of existing members– Serve as the member’s contact at the credit union even after the loan has closed and funds have been distributed. Periodically following-up with the member for additional opportunities and referrals.
Membership Involvement – strong community involvement, ability to build partnerships with local businesses and organizations, flexibility to work branch hours including some weekends and evenings.
Branch Team work – assisting branch as needed with all member related duties.
Pay for our Personal Bankers is a Base Salary plus potential to earn incentive commissions
High school degree required. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field preferred.
Previous Retail sales experience, including prospecting for new business. Must be able to data mine, source new leads and close the sale.
Enjoys sourcing new business through data mining and cold calling. Must be able to meet all established sales goals
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, excellent probing, analytical, problem-solving and follow-up skills.
Demonstrated commitment to operational integrity, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements; knowledge and interest in connecting members to available technology.
Proficiency using Word and Excel.
Must have strong multi-tasking ability, Compliance with Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act
NMLS registration required with first 30 days of employment, Credit Union sponsored
Ability to meet members and arrive at prospect locations.
