Education

  • A bachelor's or other non-clinical degree combined with an interest in healthcare and assisting a practice with it's growth, Preferred not required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent Certificate (e.g. GED, HiSET, etc.) from an accredited institution or government unit required with excellent problem-solving, multi-tasking, technology literate skills.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) is Required.

JOB DESCRIPTION

General Responsibilities

  • COVID-19 Vaccination is required as we will be working with vulnerable populations.
  • Answer incoming calls. Check voicemails and faxes daily.
  • Book, confirm, cancel and reschedule patient appointments.
  • Assist in procuring medical records and relevant document prior to all visits.
  • Perform medical record management: Update demographic information, upload primary care notes, upload before and after photos and update current prescriptions prior to or during visits in patient charts
  • Call in new medications.
  • Send Referrals to outside Clinics.
  • Prepare Consent forms for all new patients and upload forms into chart.
  • Obtain Eligibility Report and PCP referrals for all patients prior to each visit.
  • Provide Patients with relevant instructions for specific procedures.
  • Manage inventory of supplies: Restock Podiatry bins for clinicians.
  • Maintain proper storage of biohazards, ensure proper collection of said storage.
  • Sterilize podiatry instruments. Perform quality control on all instruments in the office.
  • Ensure all equipment and supplies necessary to provide podiatry care to patients are available for providers use.
  • Other duties as assigned to ensure clinic runs smoothly and efficiently.

Billing Responsibilities

  • Reconcile Co-Payments and document them accordingly in Electronic Health Record EHR.

SKILLS:

  • Posses a positive "can-do" attitude.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Medicare insurance rules and regulations, a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and effective interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint software and use of internet.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9/10 coding a plus.
  • Ability to solve problems independently and effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-2 year podiatry experience a plus, not required.
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations including OSHA and HIPAA requirements preferred, not required. Has the ability to learn and help assist CEO in creating/updating office policies.
  • Experience with clinical intake, patient data collection

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:

  • Must possess all physical abilities necessary to perform the job.
  • Requires ability to lift equipment in and out of one's car and from the office.
  • Requires frequent talking, hearing, standing, sitting, and walking.
  • Noise level is moderate with constant conversations, computers, printers, telephones, etc.

JOB TYPE: Full-time

SCHEDULE: Day shift, 40 hours per week. Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Occasional weekend with option to take weekday off.

We deliver foot care that is holistic, inclusive and empowering for you and your family. Our providers specializes in trimming various types of toenails, removal of calluses and corns, treating simple wounds, and evaluating foot and toe pain.
In addition to caring for the feet, we remove cerumen (ear wax) and trim fingernails for patients who are unable to perform them independently.
