We are seeking a highly motivated Scientific Research Associate to join our Nucleus Careers Internship Team located in King of Prussia, PA. This is a paid 12-week internship position starting in March, 2020 with the possibility to extend. As a Scientific Research Associate, you will work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. You will be involved in the write up of the day-to-day activities of Nucleus Careers, research of the life sciences industry and the creation of scientific blog posts. The candidate will be responsible for conducting independent basic scientific research in the field of cell and gene therapy, and crafting a unique perspective on their research. A successful candidate will be able to parse complicated jargon into clear and simple concepts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Utilize available communications channels to inspire, engage, and inform the world about the industry of cell and gene therapy.
  • Maximizing site traffic by utilizing optimized keywords while organically connecting content throughout the life sciences space.
  • Cell and Gene Therapy research and recruiting with strong understanding of target audience and industry trends.
  • Manage blog content development process and manage onsite publication of content.
  • Capture market data into reports and provide analysis of trends.
  • Work with senior members of the team to recognize cell and gene therapy trends in the industry.
  • Assist in data organization, data manipulation and product attributes.
  • Professional blog/content writing experience with SEO experience.
  • Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualification Requirements:

  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 Cumulative is strongly preferred.
  • Candidate must be actively enrolled pursuing a Bachelor or Master's degree (but not necessarily taking classes). Preferably in a Biology related major.
  • One or more years of creative writing or related experience.
  • Basic proficiency with the Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is required.
  • Able to demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills, excellent communication and presentation skills and leadership qualities are required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives while maintaining a strong sense of urgency.
  • Must be a self-starter with ability to work independently within a matrix environment where tight timelines exist.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and native English speaker.
  • Candidate must be able to work full time (40 hours per week) during the duration of internship.
