SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION

Provide general safety support to the Hydro Operation and Maintenance departments. The successful candidate shall provide field safety support with projects such as hazard communication, respirator hazards in the workplace and performance of employee sampling for air containments; catalog safety resources, books, materials and videos, and develop a document Management Organization; support safety professionals by conducting ergonomic evaluations, work site inspections, safety meeting presentations, industrial hygiene sampling (e.g. noise, indoor air quality, field visits, etc) capacity projects and develop job hazard analysis support, behavioral safety support, safety audits, and VPP objectives.

DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Conduct research, document and develop reports
  • Participate in organizational work meetings

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrate & maintain a good safety record
  • Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft office excel, word, and access data base
  • Prefer Occupational Safety and Health and/or Industrial Hygiene Degree
  • Student must have completed Sophomore level or higher by stated date
  • Must be in good academic standing
  • Must Provide GPA in application materials
