NORESCO’s Engineering Group is responsible for identifying energy savings opportunities for large commercial and institutional facilities, including schools and universities in support of our Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPC). Our Engineering team’s primary focus is to analyze current energy systems and consumption and to make recommendations for energy upgrades necessary to decrease overall energy usage and costs.
As an Energy Engineer, you’ll be involved in the following:
Focus of this position is on lighting and water projects. You’ll travel about 25% of your time conducting energy audits at customer sites. You’ll have interactions with your regional team to ensure project expectations are met.
You’ll collect detailed information on the existing lighting/plumbing systems and document critical performance variables; analyze utility bill data; provide detailed energy saving calculations and the costs associated with your established conversation measures. You’ll also write scopes of work for lighting/plumbing subcontractors.
Your detailed energy conservation measurement descriptions will become part of a detailed proposal that will be given to the customer.
Our preferred background for this position:
BSME with 2+ years’ experience performing lighting and water audits. We also prefer someone with strong Excel skills, problem solving skills and attention to detail.
