We are seeking an IT Technical Support Specialist to join our team! You will resolve computer-related issues for our clients.

NMS offers IT onsite and remote helpdesk support to multiple clients around the South Bay and Monterey Bay Areas. We are looking for a punctual, self-motivated, IT Loving, and well-organized candidate.

The ideal candidate must be comfortable with both writing and speaking in English for communicating over the phone or on webcam with customers, vendors and coworkers. You are detail-oriented in your written communication for documenting in a ticketing system so that your coworker-technicians can collaborate on.

Excellent troubleshooting skills are required to evaluate problems quickly, yet being humble enough to ask for help when the problem is beyond your skill-set, will help you grow in our company and is in the best interest of our customers. We find we learn from each other every day!

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance with computer hardware and software in both Windows and Apple environments, iOS and Android devices.
  • Resolve issues for clients via phone, in person, or electronically
  • Have a working knowledge of network infrastructure, firewalls, VoIP, VPN.
  • Track customer issues and resolutions within Kaseya Ticketing Software.
  • Strong troubleshooting ability. Proficient in network troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving network problems.
  • Responsible for daily data backup of servers, workstations, laptops, iOS devices. Administer VoIP phones and Google business suite when assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years minimum previous experience in IT and customer service.
  • Have strong written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Ability to build rapport with clients, and helping people frustrated with technical issues with a positive and professional demeanor.
  • Candidate must have a working knowledge of managing, configuring and troubleshooting Active Directory 2008 - 2016
  • Exchange 2008-2016, Windows 7 - 10, VMWare, Hyper V, Kaseya experience is preferred.
  • On-time reliability, ability to meet deadlines by managers or to meet client expectations.

Job Type: Full-time employee with benefits. 20-30% travel required for on-site client support.

Experience: System Administration: 1-3 years min. (Preferred)

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

  • A+ Certification & NET is preferred.
  • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) is preferred.
  • Experience in computer network administration is required.
