This position is responsible for providing Web marketing strategy, direction and management for the corporation's Technology Product Solution (TPS) offerings. It ensures attainment of the corporation's revenue and profit objectives through the development and implementation of multi-channel product/technology marketing strategies and plans to meet changing market and competitive conditions. A key responsibility of this position is planning, execution and measurement of lead generation programs in online media. Additional responsibilities include assisting Product Managers in determining appropriate messaging, packaging, and positioning of product offerings on the Web relative to the marketplace and competition.


  • Develop, document and implement the Web marketing strategy for high margin products, both domestic and foreign. Specifically includes competitive research and analysis, target customer definition, branding, media planning, PR, lead generation, measurement, online demand generation, and online purchasing.
  • Lead a cross-functional team of designers, writers and developers to plan, design, develop and maintain the website in support of a superior user experience in researching and purchasing Black Box solutions.
  • Define and coordinate major marketing programs that encompass complex product sets and are directed at specific customers based on industries, applications, and market.
  • Optimize effectiveness of team members responsible for Web publishing, product information production, SEO, PPC, email blasts, online advertising, PR, social media and online management of case studies, white papers, brochures, and other supportive marketing materials.
  • Manage Media Services team members (writers, designers and support staff) as their time and effort relates to the online strategy. Ensure continuing Media Services team effectiveness through the selection, training, development and motivation of a competent staff.
  • Maintain expenditures within departmental budgets.
  • Responsible for employment, development, promotion, timely completion of Team Member's performance evaluation, training, motivation, and counseling of assigned Team Members.
Required Skills
  • Strong knowledge of online channel marketing, online advertising, email marketing, SEO, PPC, Web analytics, and social media required.
  • Strong understanding of Web platforms, Web publishing tools and product information management systems required.
  • Strong knowledge of technology/data communications/computer networking industry required.
  • Requires the ability to blend objective and subjective information into well-founded market strategies.
  • The position demands support of market strategies through a combination of factual data and business experience.
  • The ability to successfully analyze complex, multi-dimensional problems is therefore crucial to this position.
  • Must be able to efficiently conduct concurrent activities in a well organized and scheduled manner and to direct the activities of subordinates and peers to ensure timely efficient completion of projects and assignments.
  • Positive leadership traits are required and expected to be consistently demonstrated in this position.
  • Must be able to establish product marketing vision through aggressive and creative pursuit of potential business opportunities.
Required Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Business Administration, or equivalent experience. An MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of professional and progressive marketing experience in technology-based markets.
  • Minimum 5 years playing major role in management of a Web site. Global marketing experience is a plus.
  • Strong Web experience is required.
  • Experience in multi-channel marketing/sales environment required. Must have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Requires experience in solving complex business problems and ability to develop and document a long-term strategic plan.
