Job Summary:

Manages the HR Business Partner team. Analyzes trends to develop solutions, programs and policies. Confirms company policies, programs and processes are consistently carried out. Designs and utilizes organizational development strategies that influence organizational effectiveness in support of business strategies. Manages and leads internal communications to clients to ensure understanding of programs. Applies knowledge of legal requirements to ensure compliance and reduce legal risks. Develops strategic goals and drives their execution by the team. May recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action.

  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization's human resource compliance and strategy needs.
  • Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
  • Advises and trains managers and supervisors in best employee relations practices and strategies for managing supervisor problems and employee grievances. Develops further training as needed.
  • Work with benefit consultants to process benefit plans including medical, dental, disability, 401(k), and other optional benefit plans
  • Manage the education and implementation of Open Enrollment
  • Provide guidance to employees and coordinate with Supervisors and Accounting on FMLA, COBRA, Disability and Personal Time Off including vacation, personal leave, LWOP, jury duty, and bereavement leave
  • Serve as Key contact with Trustee and 401(K) plan Sponsor for annual review and annual education for eligible employees
  • Comply with 401(k) plan compliance responsibilities
  • Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Responsible for the employee relations functions and administration of EEOC, Affirmative Action, Employee Counseling, investigations, discrimination, onboarding, terminations, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS systems.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • A minimum of five years of human resource management experience is required.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR is highly desired.

This position will operate from our corporate office in McLean, VA. As a Federal Government Contractor, NDi requires our employees to be vaccinated under Executive Order 14042.
