Staff Accountant Job Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced staff accountant to join our growing team. You will be responsible for performing general accounting, financial reporting, physical inventory accounting and cost accounting activities. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and demonstrated knowledge of financial and cost accounting are a must.
Staff Accountant Duties and Responsibilities
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
Produce error-free accounting reports.
Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
Organize data from units; keep an update on reports, and examine statistical facts to determine errors and rectify them, and carry out review of general content
Provide technical support and advice on cost accounting.
Offer advanced analysis and review of financial transactions for troubleshooting and correcting errors in the organization’s financial system
Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process
Provide input into department’s goal setting process
Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
Assist with audits and tax returns
Support month-end and year-end close process
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
Staff Accountant Requirements and Qualifications·
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Associate’s degree and 4 years of accounting experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience using ERP applications
Strict attention to detail, highly organized and efficient
