EXCELLENT CAREER OPPORTUNITY for a PROJECT MANAGER to oversee a project portfolio valued at >$100 million over the next 3 to 5 years from conception to commercialization for global technology and specialty materials leader.

BS Engineering Degree with 15+ years broad-based project management and project controls experience with an emphasis on people management and development for chemical, pharmaceutical, or petroleum industries.
MUST HAVE strong Project Management skills managing major projects (>$25,000,000) with a proven track record for safety performance, scope control, cost management, and schedule control.
Strong desire to work in a leading edge industrial environment with a focus on design and construction with knowledge of appropriate design codes and standards.
Ability to work in a team-based environment and with other groups such as Technology, Procurement, EH&S, Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, and Construction.
General computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office tools such as Project, Power Point, Word, Excel, etc.).
General Understanding of Utilities, Operations, Materials Handling and Maintenance
Professional Engineer & Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
SAP Experience
US Citizen or Permanent Resident (green card) status required

Ensures the definition, engineering, and construction of the project are completed in a safe manner resulting in zero accidents to personnel, zero unplanned interruptions to plant operations and zero environmental events.
Estimates costs, resources, and time required to complete capital projects.
Prepare Project Execution Plans
Facilitate project meetings
Must define requirements then select materials, equipment, project staff, and contractors including negotiating and managing contracts for external suppliers.
Ensures that all aspects of the project comply with all environmental and government regulations.
Manage a team of up to six in-house and contractor engineering, technical, and specialist employees. Coach and mentor project staff to assist them in problem solving and execution of their roles.
Monitor progress and control costs and schedule of large multi-million dollar projects so as to complete project within authorized funds.
Prepare periodic management reports and presentations as required for communication within and beyond the project team.
Lead technical design and engineering of projects to conforming to all applicable codes and standards.
