Basic Function: Serves as a team member of the team responsible for performing maintenance activities for the golf course and resort grounds. Primary area of emphasis surrounds maintenance and operation of resort equipment and vehicles. At times, this position may also be assigned to participate in maintenance of golf course, park grounds, roadsides, landscaping, facilities and equipment.
Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs resort maintenance equipment and vehicles. Changes oil and greases equipment and vehicles. Removes tires from rims and replaces them.
Uses resort vehicles to pick up parts and supplies at various outlets throughout the community. Verifies receipt of materials and signs invoices. Submits invoices.
Uses pressure washer to clean equipment. Washes and waxes vehicles and equipment
Sharpens blades on all reel and rotary mowers.
Helps keep the building and peripheral areas of the shop clean and debris free.
Cleans and maintains equipment; including walking and riding greens mowers, tee mowers, fairway mowers, rough mowers, roller, bunker rake, golf carts, utility carts, push mowers, and a variety of powered and non-powered hand tools to determine correct operations.
Previous experience as a mechanic, preferably in a golf course environment.
Ability to operate a variety of shop tools, small equipment and hand tools in a safe manner.
Ability to adjust and learn new equipment and procedures
Must be able to work in a team setting
Must be well mannered and groomed, greet guests and employees when encountered and provide excellent guest service as required.
Must be able to stand, walk, bend over, reach, crouch, kneel, crawl, balance, push and pull, lift/carry up to 50 lbs., hear and see clearly.
Must have manual dexterity, fine motor skills, gross motor skills and be able to recognized color.
