The Milford Miami TWP Chamber of Commerce, a non-profit organization with 300 members, is seeking a qualified professional with business and/or chamber experience to serve as Executive Director. This position will be responsible for day-to-day operations, including staffing, sales, marketing, event-planning, directing, fundraising, and budgeting.
The Executive Director is the chief executive of the Chamber, responsible for the full range of Chamber activities and coordination of the Chamber’s program of work, monitoring compliance with policies and procedures established by the Board of Directors (BOD), planning and managing events, promoting programs, recruiting and supporting members, and facilitating positive community and government relations.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Serve as the Chamber’s leader in member growth, retention, support, and satisfaction. Assist the BOD in identifying potential board members. Utilize efficient communication tools to establish connection with membership and between members.
Evaluate chamber policies to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Recommend changes in structure and procedures as needed. Ensure that policies developed and approved by the BOD are implemented.
Identify local community needs as they relate to the Chamber; plan, manage, and evaluate events and programs, while making recommendations for growth or improvements. Work with the BOD to develop an annual plan of action for the Chamber
Develop chamber budget with assistance from Treasurer and budget committee. Implement, abide by, and monitor budget following approval by BOD. Oversee monthly and annual financial reports to the BOD.
Responsible for all communications with BOD, Chamber members, and local community. This includes managing all public relations, print and social media, and public speaking events.
Ensure employment productivity and compliance with Chamber policy. Develop, train, manage, and motivate staff to meet Chamber direction. Evaluate employees through personnel policies and workplace compliance rules through annual employee reviews.
