Job Overview

This role will provide sourcing and full-lifecycle recruiting support across Markon’s portfolios, both domestic and internationally.


  • Engage in creative and targeted sourcing strategies that help to identify and attract candidates to fill current and contingent/incumbent capture opportunities.
  • Maintain a network of contacts and leverage multiple sourcing tools and technologies, including but not limited to, personal networking, direct sourcing, cold-calling, employee, referrals, social media, career fairs, and the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Establish creative sourcing strategies to locate and secure candidates with hard-to-find technical skills sets often with time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Generate a high volume/high quality pipeline of candidates.
  • Keep accurate records in our database and ATS.
  • Identify and screen potential candidates and assess their fit for current and future needs.
  • Maintain weekly reports for hiring teams you support.
  • Build and maintain relationships with hiring managers across assigned focus areas.
  • Actively manage candidate experience to ensure highest quality experience through all recruitment stages.
  • Develop a thorough and deep understanding of the projects and services within our commercial, civilian, DoD, DoS, and intelligence community portfolios.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



  • Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of recruiting/sourcing experience within government contracting realm.
  • Experience in achieving aggressive sourcing goals.
  • Must have the ability to identify passive candidates through various resources.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communications, organizational, reporting and presentation skills, as well as great attention to detail.
  • Must be motivated self-starter, results oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.


  • Experience recruiting for positions of all clearance levels up to and including TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.
  • Knowledge and appreciation of employment law; specifically, OFCCP, AAP compliance rules.
  • Strong passion and interest in research and problem solving.
