Dishwasher - Closing Shift

Dishwashers are an extremely important part of a restaurant team. In addition to cleaning up all of the dirty plates, silverware, and glassware, they keep the back of the kitchen tidy and sanitary. There’s no doubt about it, without a dishwasher, restaurants would be out of operation.

Our busy restaurant is seeking a hardworking, detail-oriented individual to fill the open dishwasher position. Daily, the dishwasher will work to ensure that all of the equipment and dishware are ready to serve customers. The dishwasher will work alongside the kitchen staff and front staff to keep the restaurant operational and up to the health code. Typical duties include:

• Maintain a steady inventory of clean dishware and flatware for restaurant staff

• Monitor sanitation stations and work areas for cleanliness

• Keep an inventory of all cleaning supplies

• Assist with cleaning duties such as sweeping and mopping

• Help unload food and restaurant material deliveries

• Clean appliances

• Clean all kitchen items including pots, pans, utensils, and knives

• Take out trash and recycling and clean garbage cans

• Keep a detailed log of activities and any code violations
