LTRMN is seeking an experienced product manager to serve as Director of Product. The Director of Product to own the product management of our existing in-house products (edibles, prerolls, cartridges) and development of new internal products in various categories. This team member will build and manage a product team, as well as define, document and own the process by which we project manage our products. The Director of Product will oversee product launches and updates in Oregon, California and new markets as they come online, and work to ensure our products are compliant, and that our product cost models are optimized. You will manage and help grow a project management and product team that works directly with the creative team, sales team, and marketing team to execute the company’s growth strategy.
You will help work with our existing templated, process-driven product development kit utilizing Asana & Airtable to develop, launch and maintain a suite of cannabis products at various price points, and sync timelines, supply chain considerations and development across various markets and compliance initiatives. Own the organizational system for managing LTRMN’s product initiatives and key deliverables. You will review progress regularly with leadership.
Help build a project management team and balance their workloads to match with company priorities.
Create and maintain project plans for new product development, and ongoing product updates and releases including new SKU’s and compliant launches in new markets.
Manage, maintain and optimize product cost model, and be responsible for P&L’s at product line level
Secure vendor relationships and work with creative teams and vendors on product ID and packaging
Own how LTRMN uses our project management software, integrate new tools and methods to help our product development and project management operate more efficiently
Write and update the standard operating procedures for project management
Enjoy providing status updates, we need you to clearly communicate with stakeholders and team members via project management software, email and presentation to remote groups
Help us create accountability by holding your team and groups in the organization accountable for agreed upon responsibilities and deadlines
Be flexible with your approach to project management, enable the team to quickly react to changing priorities
Identify procedural, logistical, legal and communication issues before they become serious
Liaise across departments to level set expectations, scope and timelines for product launches
Create and manage dashboards to help us understand at-a-glance what is going on with projects and team members
Our ideal candidate has 5+ years proven experience managing projects in new product development and ongoing product update management, in a highly collaborative and dynamic business environment, and at least 1-2 years managing a team doing the same. CPG or regulated industry experience a plus, but we’re excited to talk to tech team leaders who understand complex, compliant product launches as well.
Project management methodology background, including schedule, scope, issue, compliance and vendor management experience
Interpersonal communication skills, written and verbal communication, organizational skills, project management skills must all be strong. Bring us your type A.
Project management software (Asana/Trello) or software development software (Jira/Smartsheet etc) experience. Our existing stack is based off of Asana, Airtable and Zoho.
This position can be located in Orange County, CA or Portland, Oregon.
