Lionce is currently recruiting for a Software Developer for a great opportunity with one of our partners in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a full time position with a pay rate up to $80,000 a year. For this particular role, our client is only considering either US Citizens or Permanent Residents (either EAD or Green Card).
The client is the leader in delivering game-based learning (the next generation of workforce training), revolutionizing the way employee learning and practice is delivered in organizations. The client is a 2005 spinout out of Carnegie Mellon University's Entertainment Technology Center, a center internationally renowned for its research and development in applying video game techniques and technologies for educational purposes.

We are looking for solid software developers who want to move into game development, or experienced game developers looking to work on solutions that make a real difference.

Position Description

Software/Game Developer is a full-time position responsible for leading software development as part of a cross-functional team with game designers and artists. Developers work in a dynamic environment with an Agile development process providing weekly releases to customers and using active play-testing with clients to refine design. Developers are expected to take initiative, balance multiple projects, work with some ambiguity, demonstrate high quality standards and desire to be key contributors to company success.

Skills & Requirements

Ideal candidates will be proficient at the following

  • Programming languages: C#, C++, Python, Javascript
  • Unity3D game engine and IDE
  • Design and implementation of game systems and game object management
  • Integrating with Learning Management Systems using SCORM
  • System administration, infrastructure support and server maintenance
Candidates not proficient in all of these areas will be considered, but must be prepared to demonstrate strong engineering skills and the ability to learn the tools quickly as part of an intensive interview process.
