Lionce is currently recruiting for a Junior .NET/SQL Developer for a great opportunity with one of our partners in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a contract to hire position with a pay rate up to $66,000 a year. For this particular role, our client is only considering either US Citizens or Permanent Residents (either EAD or Green Card).
TYPE AND LEVEL OF EDUCATION AND DEGREE
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Management Information Science, or related discipline or equivalent experience.
Minimum of five years of experience with ASP.NET and MS SQL Server
Microsoft certifications (MCTS, MCPD) are a plus
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Key activities within each area
•Able to perform advanced software development tasks
•Write code for database development and software applications according to client coding standards
•Develop software applications that meet customer requirements and technical design specs
•Development of relational database schemas, stored procedures, and database scripts used to promote changes to multiple environments.
•Perform software application support and maintenance by debugging known issues and implementing new enhancements.
•Create documentation for new development, module changes, release notes, and other application changes as needed
•Create development estimates for assigned tasks
•Meet agreed upon development deadlines, or communicate in advance with team lead or manager if the deadline will be missed
•Work closely with senior team members in the software design process by offering suggestions and providing knowledgeable input to the design of software solutions including individual components, framework, and overall application functionality
•Develop technical design documentation based on project requirements and agreed upon system architecture
•Work with senior team members to provide estimates for new projects and project proposals
•Work collaboratively with all members of the organization and foster open communication between departments
•Work independently on assigned tasks and keep Team Lead and manager informed of project status and issues
•Interface and work collaboratively with project management, quality control, customer support, and other team members to resolve bugs or other application programming issues
•Work with development team and manager to ensure departmental objectives are met
•Mentor and coach other team members
•Work with project management to create development schedules for the agreed upon scope of each release.
•Work directly with manager to determine development resources available for your team
•Act as a single point of contact between the software development team and project management, database development, quality control, and web admins
•Dissemination of development tasks to team members.
•Ensure development team adheres to agreed upon project deadlines
•Act as an escalation point for development issues or concerns
