We are seeking a highly motivated, detail oriented and experienced Revenue Accountant with AP/AR experience to join our team. Job Responsibilities:

  • Readies and maintains financial and business transactions that process sales and/or service revenue, handling the checks and balances of revenues generated in an organization.
  • Reviews and maintains all activities of the general ledger that are revenue related in all departments in the company.
  • Utilizes accounting principles, that include work that is analytical, evaluative, and advisory in nature and that requires an understanding of both accounting theory and practice.
  • Analyzes and monitors accounts payable and receivable accounts, creating a balance between them.
  • Reviews thoroughly all accounts payable in the organization’s business transactions, and ensures that there are no errors in the records; preparers checks as necessary.
  • Ensures that all monthly financial transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Preparers client bills and apply client deposits.
  • May work directly with clients, manages and monitors their accounts, and ensures that all payments are received on time as agreed.
  • Oversees the daily reconciliation between bank and company accounts, and handles daily receipts, monthly revenue intake sheets, spreadsheet files and inter-company reports; prepare journal entries as required.

  • Assists Financial Analysts in updating revenue tracking sheets and processing royalties.
  • Participates in monthly, quarterly and yearly accounting cycles.
  • Prepares and inspects financial statements, and ensures they are accurate and are able to be understood by others; interprets the meaning of accounting records, reports, and statements.
  • Utilizes knowledge of the fundamental doctrines, theories, principles, and terminology of accountancy, and often entails some understanding of such related fields as business law, statistics, and general management.
  • Supervises financial audits and implements recommendations from audits.
  • Maintains the accounting standards and style of the company; and recommends improvements, adaptations, or revisions in the accounting system and procedures.
  • Submits records of accounts reconciliations to management as required.
  • Other projects and duties, as assigned.
  • Builds and nurtures strong working relationships with client management and peer client levels.
  • Works as an effective team member to complete project components and assignment tasks.
  • Participate in training and building strong client service relationships.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance;
  • A minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience;
  • CPA preferred;
  • QuickBooks experience;
  • Demonstrate sound judgement, integrity and professionalism;
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), including the ability to simplify and communicate complex information;
  • Exercise initiative and be an innovative problem solver with a positive outlook;
  • Organize projects, meet deadlines and handle multiple demands, all while paying strong attention to detail;
  • Encourage and recognize the contributions and successes of others; and
  • Seek to improve the work environment and quality of client service.

This is a full-time position and is paid according to the laws of the State of California.
