Law Firm Marketing Assistant - temp assignment!
Assists and supports the firm’s Marketing Department in all functions of marketing and business development – including but not limited to website maintenance, new business proposals, various other marketing projects and events, “CRM Interaction” mailing list support, updating distribution lists, and lawyer ranking surveys.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinates national and local surveys and directories submissions with other offices and maintains tracking spreadsheet. Assists in the formatting and distribution of client alerts and newsletters. Manages edits to attorney web bios and maintains Atty Bio Tracking Sheet. Provides administrative support in all areas and performs other duties as assigned. Assists in finding/maintaining relationships with local vendors (i.e. printers, seminar locations, promotional supplies, etc.). Assists in data scrubbing and other mailing list edits. Under the direction of a Marketing Coordinator or Manager, handles seasonal events such as Corporate gift baskets and practice group holiday cards. Conducts research as need for business development and may also assist with production, finishing and delivery of RFPs and new business pitches. Maintains client alerts and newsletter tracking spreadsheets. Formats and proofreads internal newsletters. Coordinates professional photographs for Chicago lawyers, including scheduling in-house photo sessions, keeping current photos on intranet site, and maintaining records of the photos. Will assist Marketing Coordinators or Managers in any tasks needed to conduct an event – invitations, site and speaker coordination, menus, RSVP’s, name tags, signs, event check-in, materials, promotional items, client gifts, etc. Handles ticket and event requests and distribution.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, English, journalism, business, or Rhetoric. PC experience required: MS Word, Excel and PPT. Preferred: Ability to type 65wpm. Computer Skills helpful: Interaction CRM, and Quark or similar. Prior law firm experience. Prior marketing administrative experience.
