HR Generalist (Part-Time)

We are seeking a dynamic individual to work part-time as a HR Generalist for our US Division in Aurora, CO. This person supports the overall success of the business through administering human resources best practices in employee relations, payroll, benefits administration, talent management, and performance management practices. Our ideal candidate is someone who has well-developed interpersonal skills, ability to work with employees at all levels, well-developed organizational and time management skills, and has experiencing working in a manufacturing environment or similar environments. This position will start off as part-time, 3 days per week /8 hours per day, however as the company grows, these hours may increase over time. Therefore we desire candidates that are flexible in this area.

  • Implements human resources programs by providing human resources services, including talent acquisition and management, employee relations and retention, staffing, employment processing, compensation administration, health and welfare benefits, recognition and rewards programs, training and development, records management, safety and health, and employment law compliance
  • Processes payroll for non-exempt employees on a bi-weekly schedule; processes exempt employee payroll on a monthly schedule; responsible for accuracy; maintains organized payroll records
  • Develops human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information; recommending courses of action
  • Handles employee relations issues and employee grievances, follows proper complaint and investigative procedures; recommends solutions and follows through on determined solution
  • Manages the benefits administration needs of all employees, including open enrollments, terminations, changes, claims handling, and 401k administration; partners with management team on annual review process and decision making
  • Creates, maintains, and assists in the enforcement of all company policies; follows HR best practices in creation of policies
  • Maintains current knowledge of employment compliance and manages regulatory reporting requirements in order to protect the company and provide sound HR practices for the organization
  • Improves manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions; implementing selected solution; coaching and counseling managers and employees and manages the annual review process for all staff
  • Manages performance management meetings including disciplinary actions and termination meetings to support the management team, and hosts employee exit interviews
  • Maintains all employee information and maintains accurate, organized and up to date employee personnel files
  • Manages Worker’s Compensation insurance and all workplace injury reporting, handles all annual OSHA reporting
  • Handles recruitment and new hire orientation as required; provides a welcoming and supportive environment to new employees
  • Manages relationship and communication with temporary staffing agency and temporary staff employees
  • Maintains strict confidentiality requirements regarding employee personal information and company proprietary information
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or PHR preferred; May be substituted for equivalent experience in the workplace
  • At least 3 years administrative experience in an HR department, and at least 2 years experience in an HR Generalist role
  • Excellent computer skills, specifically QuickBooks, MS Excel, and MS Outlook. Experience processing payroll and working with payroll systems
  • Prior manufacturing experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and intermediate math skills
  • Multi-tasking skills and ability handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Well developed persuasion and negotiation skills and ability to interact with all levels of employees
  • Builds interpersonal relationships through active listening, follow through, and professional demeanor
  • Able to think critically, use logic, analyze data, and make recommendations to management
  • Requires sound judgment and decision making ability in determining risks and best course of actions to take
  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills
  • Self motivated and effective team player
  • Able to handle the physical requirements of the position, which include the ability to sit for long periods of time, lift up to 20 lbs., and has manual dexterity for use of hands and fingers
  • Ability to handle stress and maintain a positive, professional demeanor at all times
