The role of the Recruiting & Staffing Coordinator is to promote LHCL's Direct Support Worker positions in the community and draw in applicants to meet Staffing demand. This person will also carry a small staffing caseload. Create and post job openings on hiring boards and within the local community
Screen applicants and engage them throughout the hiring process
Travel to outlying areas in the region to hold offsite interviews or orientation classes as needed
Participate in local job fairs to maximize LHCL's presence as an employer in the area
Communicate frequently with Staffing Coordinators to keep track of current needs, and actively recruit to fill those roles
Assist with teaching weekly orientation classes
Manage schedules for approximately 25 clients, ensuring that clients are staffed for all available hours
Identify and match employees with clients based on availability, location, skills, competencies, and abilities
ind and provide staff for new clients as quickly as possible, setting up meet-and-greets with available staff
Review employee timekeeping records to ensure adherence with schedule & address any ongoing issues
Communicate frequently with clients and families regarding schedule changes and to ensure satisfaction
Utilize database system to document schedule changes, notes, and communication with staff and families
Participate in after hours on-call rotation
Comply with all guidelines established by LDH, Medicaid, and LHCL
Model the LHCL values of Compassion, Trust, Integrity, and Accountability
Additional tasks related to staffing or client care as requested
High school diploma required
2 years experience preferred (homecare, healthcare, staffing, or recruiting)
Must satisfactorily pass all required and applicable State & Federal eligibility verifications, including background, driving and other record checks
Excellent communication skills, professionalism, & ability to relate to others
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
Able to operate office equipment
Office hours are 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Friday.
