Dynamic financial services company located in Melville, NY seeks skilled IT Project Manager to oversee information systems development and support efforts. Focus on projects of high risk, complexity and visibility. Includes resource allocation, all phases of a development life cycle, i.e., feasibility study, requirements, analysis, design, programming, testing, and implementation planning. Meet with users to gather and develop requirements documentation and specifications. Write specifications based on user requirements and review these specifications with the development team once approved. Manages the IS relationship with all levels of customer management. Ensure system quality and conformance to standards. Coordinate and direct the activities of all levels of members on a project team which performs the traditional functions of systems analysis, design, and program development in the implementation of business-information systems. Track project status with the development team and report status to management.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Manage key internal client relationships with project stakeholders
· Serve as primary liaison to business partners or users and provide recommendations for improved system processes
· Develop deliverables related to project initiation including feasibility studies, risk assessment, project initiation reports, staffing, project organization outline, and standards and control procedures
· Monitor project progress, deliverables, quality assurance, and customer service
· Report status to client and identify and resolve risks that impact project completion
· Develop new processes as necessary to ensure mission critical systems are completed; provide expertise in identifying appropriate methodologies for large-scale development efforts
· Drive project requirements, priorities and deadlines in addition to recording and managing them
· Lead highly skilled, cross-functional teams (software developers, quality assurance, IT Operations, business stakeholders) across one or more projects
· Ensures compliance with architectural design and divisional system integration standards/guidelines. Provides leadership to the project team toward the attainment of high quality systems, making sure systems are consistent with standards and operating procedures
· Communicate with Sales and Marketing regarding re-engagements, additional team staff, potential new opportunities, and successful projects
· Prepare and present weekly progress reports for IT management
· Manage time and budget for the client, initiate action to identify and resolve problems and ensure goals are met
· Interact with decision-makers by managing expectations and providing master project planning to ensure all agreed upon deliveries are met cost-effectively and accordingly to project timeline commitments
· Adjust resources as necessary to ensure project success and completion
· Provide work direction and feedback to all team members on administrative and technical problems
· Solve problems, prioritize deliverables and manage project scope with business customers
· Assist in staffing activities related to project
· Maintain active membership in a related association to stay abreast of the changes in the field (i.e. AMA, PMA, etc.)

· Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience
· 5 + yrs. of experience in a business analyst, project leader/management role within the banking or financial industry; preferably credit card processing.
· 3 years of experience managing project level budgets in excess of $1M. Active Project Management Certification (PMP) preferred
· Three years’ experience with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and experience with Project Life Cycle (PLC)
· Experience with Secure Systems Engineering and Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) is a definite plus
· Knowledge of Business Process Modeling a plus
· Excellent organizational skills
· Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with team and customers
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills
· Ability to manage the project budget; understanding and validating estimates, cost variance tracking, etc.
· Ability to successfully manage multiple, large, complex projects from inception through completion
· Strong background in Project Management methodologies with ability to adapt concepts, practices and procedures as needed
· Proficient in Windows based computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite) including Microsoft Projects and Microsoft SQL Server
