Senior Security Systems Administrator

Growing Government Contractor looking to hire a Sr. Security Administrator to their team. Qualified candidates need to be US Citizens or Green Card holders. Lead and hands on experience highly preferred.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Participates in Design and implements network security architectures; participates in overall security design and network Security Architectures. Integrates multiple IT security systems to provide comprehensive information security to federal customers
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and investigate security-related, information systems’ anomalies based on security platform reporting, network traffic, log files, host-based and automated security alerts; Identifies network vulnerabilities and recommends remedial actions
• Work closely with systems engineers, allocation developers, and other IT personnel to solve technical problems at the network, system, and application levels. Manage security audits, vulnerability and threat assessments, and direct responses to network system intrusions.
• Researchers attempted breaches of data security and rectify security weaknesses
• Analyze and perform regular operating system security maintenance utilizing enterprise management tools such as BigFix or similar application
• Reviews and analyzes security alerts, bulletins, and vendor notifications for applicability to the organization's platforms and systems.
• Supports the development of all computer security-related documentation and SA&A process for Federal information systems
• Maintains enterprise Intrusion Detection Systems, Monitoring Systems, antivirus/anti-spam systems
• Provides mentoring, guidance, and training to information systems security personnel

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in systems engineering/ security field
• At least 5 years’ experience as a network security engineer or systems administrator with at least 3 years of hands-on experience with security products in a large networking environment.
• Good to have: CISSP Certification; CCSP certification
• Preferred: NIH Work Experience
