We are looking for a Field Service Technician to join our team that designs, installs and services end-to-end engineering solutions to measure earthquakes. This entry level position will work under the direction of the Services Manager and should be prepared to work in a highly dynamic environment. The Field Service Technician will plan, coordinate, and perform on-site technical support for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, repair, and training of Kinemetrics systems as well as participate in the assembly and factory testing of such systems.
Communicates with customers, coordinates and performs the on-site work as scheduled domestically and internationally.
Installs, tests, commissions, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs Kinemetrics' instrumentation located at the customer's facility to ensure full functionality according to specifications.
If needed, recommends the repair, replacement, or corrective action to bring the customer's instrumentation back to fully functional status.
Completes the procedures and paperwork required to document all work performed, parts replaced, and if corrective actions were needed.
Conducts operational training on Kinemetrics instruments.
Two years of electronics experience and/or training.
Familiar with electronic tools and basic usage of PC and laptops.
Good communication skills both verbal and written.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to travel locally on a daily basis to various customer sites.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
Ability to work independently or in a team.
Meet physical requirements generally associated with field service repair (lifting, bending, etc.).
