Junior Achievement of Northern New England is seeking a committed and passionate individual to join our development team. Last year (July-June) we exceeded $2 million in revenues for the first time in our chapters’ 69 year history and we are well positioned to continue this growth. With a total revenue goal of $2,276,000 for this year and a foundations revenue goal of $510,000 or 22.41% of the total budget, we are looking for a Foundations Officer who will play a key role in managing all aspects of the relationships with family, private, and corporate foundations. Responsibilities include conducting the full range of activities required to effectively manage the grant proposal process to include: researching funding opportunities, writing grants, generating impact reports for current funding, and cultivating and stewarding the relationships with prospective and existing partners, following up on action items from external meetings and ensuring that funding restrictions and requirements are being met and expectations exceeded. This position will work with all members of the staff to ensure consistency with our mission, strategy, and core values.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Bachelor’s degree preferred. Excellent written and verbal communications with strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail and diligent follow through a must. Ability to effectively work under tight deadlines and manage projects independently while sticking to a fast paced strategy plan. Strong people skills accompanied by an upbeat and enthusiastic attitude with superior professionalism and judgment. Competency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and knowledge of customer relationship management tools required. Access to transportation – own car is a must.
