Food manufacturer in Chicago, IL is expanding and is hiring a Master Scheduler to oversee all of planning for the operation
This role will report to the General Manager

Plan, prepare, issue, and control production schedules and material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials are timed to meet production requirements.
Use NetSuite ERP and MS Office, Excel and Access to track data and create the master schedule
Analyze production specifications and capacity data
Run MRP daily and accurately assigns ship dates to new orders based on material/machine/hours availability
Reviews EOQ's and safety stock to drive effective inventory levels to ensure high on-time completion rates
Coordinate with customers, manufacturing, admins and other planners to execute the production plan on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
Review open daily order report and adjust order quantities as needed
Interface and work hands-on with manufacturing to ensure production needs are met daily
Review and track all jobs to ensure they are on time and will meet delivery needs
Adjust work order start dates and/or quantities to utilize resources effectively and efficiently
Expedites operations and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions
BS/BA degree is required or an equivalent amount of 10+ years of master scheduling and or production planning experience in a manufacturing environment
Must have manufacturing scheduling / planning experience; prefer experience with food, consumer products, assembly, or similar industries
Extensive experience with ERP and MS Excel; prefer NetSuite and MS Access
Excellent communication skills – able to work with operations, manufacturing, distribution, logistics, customer service, sales and related accounts as needed
Strong analytical skills and ability to develop and recommend solutions for problems/issues
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Good customer management skills; ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams and tackle issues as they occur
Strong interpersonal, problem solving, organizational and multi-tasking skills
Responsible and reliable; follow up on actions and the ability to multi task
Pro-active – able to think ahead of the curve and resolve issues before they become problems
