Title Insurance Underwriting Counsel $500 Referral Bonus

We are seeking a Title Insurance VP / Underwriting Counsel to join a well-established residential and commercial Title Insurance and Escrow company. This is an ideal role for an individual with a background in sophisticated real estate transactions and who has the confidence to work independently in a dynamic environment with a range of professionals, both internal and external.

Strong knowledge and understanding of underwriting as well as title examination is required. The ideal candidate will also be managing the Examination and Policy departments.

Provide Underwriting support to the Escrow Division; support the Production Division Manager in his efforts to achieve established Company and Division goals and objectives; plan direct and control the activities of the Examination and Policy Departments.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Advise internal clients on the structuring of complex real estate transactions
• Draft / Review transaction documents
• Manage/close transactions
• Perform negotiations with external clients/counsel
• Oversee outside counsel representing company in property acquisitions, joint ventures, loan closings, and other mortgage lending and servicing transactions
• Miscellaneous other contract review and transaction support for diverse company matters

Experience, Skills and Abilities Required:

• 3+ years of experience in representing buyers and sellers of homes, condos, and co-ops from contract to closing.
• Candidates should possess excellent oral and written communication skills along with solid law firm experience
• Experience in commercial real estate transactions a plus.
• Qualified candidates should be energetic, highly-motivated and interested in working in a collegiate team-oriented environment.
