Department: Project Management

Reports To: Chief Operating Officer

Job Summary: The department Director works under limited supervision to lead all aspects of the Project Management team. They provide leadership and accountability for the team in its daily operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, monitor, and coordinate project management team activities, giving importance to individual member’s and overall team's achievement of established goals.
  • The Director is required to conduct themselves in accordance with the company’s Core Values at all times both internally and externally
  • Support the efforts of the Sales Team through Account Management, Project Management, and general Sales support
  • Ensure equal distribution of workload within the department and provide support when needed
  • Ensure team's goals are aligned with the company's directive
  • Provide evaluation of individual performances for goal achievement and annual reviews
  • Stay current on processes and materials used in specific area(s)
  • Lead departmental efforts to optimize workflow in the organization as well as cross functionally
  • Partner with other Operations Leadership team members to support the company’s lean objectives
  • Address employee performance problems and develop corrective action plans as appropriate
  • Work closely with the General Manager of Production to meet operations and company goals
  • Arrange coverage during Project Manager vacations and absences
  • Direct responsibility for hiring and firing personnel within the Project Management team.
  • Advocate for company’s Project Management internally and externally

Requirements: (physical demands, experience, training, skills or education)

· Minimum of three years of project management experience, preferably in the print or photographic industry

· Working knowledge of common graphic applications

· Proficient with Word, Excel, Filemaker Pro

· Excellent communication skills; listening, engaging others, recording details, interacting with a variety of personalities in an effective and positive manner

· Heightened sense of urgency to drive projects through all phases, adhering to tight deadlines and changing situations

· High standards for time management

· Flexible and creative problem-solving
